Knoxville Wholesale Furniture donated $10,000 to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, for its K-9 officer unit.
The money will help re-sod the KCSO K-9 training facility and Sheriff Tom Spangler says it will help them purchase another K-9 officer, and other needs for the unit.
This is the second donation Knoxville Wholesale Furniture has made to the sheriff’s office in 2020. Back in September, they gave $25,000 to KCSO to help with the Officer Down Program.
Tim Harris, Chairman of the Board for KWF says, “We believe we live in a special place here in East Tennessee, this is largely due to the men and women who protect and serve our community. This donation of $10,000 will be used to benefit the KCSO K9 Unit. Knoxville Wholesale Furniture is proud and happy to be able to give back to the local community!”
KCSO held a K-9 demonstration during the check presentation, showing the officer dogs in action, to the crowd of onlookers.
