The federal government wants to award businesses that were affected by COVID-19, but survived the pandemic.
Businesses with less than 500 employees can apply for funding from the Employee Retention Credit under the Cares Act.
Don Lawson of Smart Business Accounting says employers could receive up to $26,000 per employee, “This is not a scam, and it’s not a loan. It’s free money from the government.”
He also says churches, charities and non-profits are also eligible.
