The American Job Center (AJC) in Knoxville will join the statewide Paychecks for Patriots event on Thursday, November 9, 2023. The event will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the AJC located at 2700 Middlebrook Pike, Suite 100.
Paychecks for Patriots is a statewide initiative on November 9 aimed at connecting former members of the military and their families with jobs in the civilian workforce. While there is an emphasis on assisting former military, the event is open to anyone looking for employment.
Job seekers can connect one-on-one with area employers and organizations that provide community resources during the event.
Twenty-three businesses will be participating in the job fair including Smith & Wesson, Amazon, UT Medical Center, CEMEX, Aisin, Security Central, Lifeline Ambulance Service, FedEx Ground, IGT, Fresenius Medical Care, The University of Tennessee, and many others. Participating businesses represent over 250 current job openings in multiple business sectors.
The job fair is free and open to everyone, and job seekers are encouraged to bring a current resume to provide employers who have positions they are ready to fill.
