Aug 12 (Reuters) – Traders on Wednesday stuck to bets narrowly favoring an interest rate hold by the Federal Reserve at its meeting next month, after a government report showed consumer prices rose in line with expectations in July.
Futures that settle to the Fed’s policy rate are pricing about a 55% chance that the central bank will keep the policy rate in its current 3.50%-3.75% range at its September 15-16 meeting, little changed from immediately before the report.
