Oct 14 (Field Level Media) – The Los Angeles Dodgers’ losses in the first two games of the National League Championship Series are having an impact on resale ticket prices at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers find themselves trailing in the best-of-seven series against the Milwaukee Brewers, with games set for Wednesday and Thursday in Los Angeles.
As of early Wednesday, the get-in price (including fees) on the resale market for Game 3 had fallen in three days by 42% from $167 on Sunday night to $97 per ticket, according to TicketData. Game 4 tickets were down 37% to $98.
Los Angeles led MLB in attendance for the 13th straight season with a total of 4.03 million to set a franchise record. There were 14 sellouts and 40 crowds of more than 50,000 at Dodger Stadium, the largest MLB ballpark (capacity 56,000). The average for 81 games was 49,805.
While the Dodgers are trying to become the first team to win three consecutive World Series in 26 years, the Brewers are on track to reach their first World Series since 1982 — when they were in the American League.
Resale tickets for a potential World Series Game 1 in Milwaukee at American Family Field (capacity 41,900) was at $1,122 per ticket, up 2% since Monday, per TicketData.
